2014 in Review with Summer Flake
Adelaide born musician Stephanie Crase makes music under the Summer Flake moniker. We fell in love with her music last year when the Summer Flake album You Can Have It All was released, with the track "Blue" making it into our Best Tracks of 2013 list. This year saw her track "Son Of A Gun" released on the Rice is Nice mixtape.

I moved to Melbourne a couple months back and started playing with a new Summer Flake band here, so that’s been cool in 2014.
It’s been pretty bad for the bank account overall though with lots of particularly good releases coming out of Adelaide – especially the recent Grid City Itch compilation, Bruff Superior 7”, Wireheads, Blood Plastic and Vintage Violence cassettes, and new albums from ex Adelaidies Old Mate, Liam Kenny, Weak Boys and Regional Curse. I’m pretty proud to have been involved in the debut Fair Maiden LP with my buddy Ellen Carey, and playing with Hit The Jackpot again too. Was that meant to be a top 5 list? Sorry, I couldn't do it. It’s been a good year! |
