Department is the name used by 16 year old Melbourne bedroom producer, Adam Kyriakou.

Karl Scullin from Bushwalking is Kes. Previous releases have been under the names Kes Band or Kes Trio. The forthcoming album, 'Duets' is a collection of instrumental duets with the likes of Laura Jean, Biddy Connor, Paddy Mann, Justin Fuller, Oliver Mann (featured on the track above) and others. 'Duets' is due out 11 October through Polyester Records.

The Ape is Tex Perkins' new project, which also features guitarist Raul Sanchez (Magic Dirt, River of Snakes), drummer Gus Agars (The Vandas, The Gin Club) and Pat Bourke on bass (Ladyboyz, Gentlemen of Fortune). Their debut LP will be out October 4th and the band will do an East Coast tour in October. Check the dates here.
The Dyson Stringer Cloher 2013 Tour EP above includes one track from Mia Dyson, one from Liz Stringer and one from Jen Cloher. The three artists are currently on tour together. Check the tour dates here. Jen Cloher's LP was our feature album in early June - check it out here.

"Here She Comes" is the first single from Jordie Lane's EP ‘Not Built To Last’, due out through Vitamin Records on 18th October. He'll do a national tour in support of it. Check the dates here.
Cass McCombs' new album "Big Wheel and Others" is due for release soon. This track, "Brighter!" features the late singer/actress Karen Black on vocals.
Deltron 3030 consists of Del the Funky Homosapien & DJ Kid Koala with Dan the Automator on production duties. Their 2000 self-titled release was one of our hip hop faves of that era. They’re now preparing to release their follow up "Deltron Event II" and the track above, "Melding of the Minds" features Zack de la Rocha of Rage Against the Machine.
Boatfriends are from Newcastle and consist of Shanna Watson (vocals/guitar) and Clinton Edwards (bass/drums/keys). Check out some of their other tracks here.
Grizzly Bear are set to follow up 2012's album "Shields" with "Shields Expanded", a double LP spanning 18 tracks. It will include all of "Shields" plus demos, remixes and B-sides. The extra tracks will also be available as an EP for those of you who already have "Shields". "Will Calls" (above) is the first taste of the forthcoming release, due out later this year.
This new track from Beck was released 18 September and follows "Defriended" and "I Won't Be Long". Like those tracks, it's being reported that "Gimme" won't appear on a Beck album, despite there supposedly being two in the pipeline: a follow up to Modern Guilt and an acoustic album.

McKisko is Brisbane muso Helen Franzmann and this track comes from her second album 'Eximo', which includes a duet with the wonderful Paddy Mann (aka Grand Salvo). The album is due out October 11 through El Nino El Nino.
Listen above to The Avalanches' take on "Talking To A Stranger". Hunters and Collectors have never sounded so disco!
The above track is a newie from Chaz Bundick (aka Toro Y Moi) and it's due out in Australian on November 19th through Mistletone/Inertia.
