Pluto Jonze - Eject (Feature Album 29 July 2013)
Eject is the debut album for Sydney indie-pop artist Pluto Jonze (otherwise known as Lachlan Nicolson). Whilst some reviewers note nods to David Bowie and Wings, at times he reminds us of Beck, at others we hear chord progressions reminiscent of John Lennon and fellow Aussie indie pop artist, Bob Evans. Despite those reference points, he still maintains a sound of his own - a wild pastiche of ideas and sounds wrapped around a solid indie-pop sensibility. Eject was released on July 12 through Stop Start/Inertia.

Ben Mason - Holes and Corners (Feature Album 22 July 2013)
Holes and Corners is the debut solo release for Ben Mason, former frontman of popular Melbourne psych-pop band, The Smallgoods. It was recorded and produced by Ben at home, before being mixed in Portland, USA by Adam Siezer (M Ward, Laura Gibson) and mastered by Byron Scullin (Ned Collette, Laura Jean, Kesband). As well as playing all the instruments on the album, Ben directed the video for 'Black Sky, Yellow Moon' which was shot at home.
Aside from playing with The Smallgoods for 12 years (from which Cut Copy, Architecture in Helsinki and Lost Animal developed), Ben has released 2 albums in his Acapulco series, doing a'capella versions of other artists' songs, and he recently recorded The Zombies' album 'Odessey and Oracle' - his favourite album of all time. His version of the album is called 'The Odessey Odyssey' and he played every note. You can watch a video about the making of the album here. 'Holes and Corners' is out now and is a fine selection of alternately sad and sunny pop songs about breaking up. Bedroom recordings have never sounded so good! Released on July 14 through benmason.com.au

Jessica Pratt - Jessica Pratt (Feature Album 15 July 2013)
Jessica Pratt's self titled release is her debut album, recorded in 2005 but not released until late 2012 in the US and July 5 2013 in Australia by Mistletone / Inertia. Her sound is reminiscent of 60s folk singers, often drawing comparison to Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks and the San Franciscan native is renowned for a sound and a wisdom well beyond her years.

Kieran Ryan - Kieran Ryan (Feature Album 8 July 2013)
Kieran Ryan was one half of excellent Melbourne indie duo Kid Sam, and this self titled release is his debut under his own name. It's been described as reminiscent of Joe McKee and David McComb, with storytelling that's "unashamedly grand and ambitious". It was released in April by Spunk.

Jagwar Ma - Howlin' (Feature Album 1 July 2013)
Howlin' is the much anticipated debut from Sydney duo Jagwar Ma (Jono Ma and Gabriel Winterfield), who are now based in the UK. Their sound has been referred to as psychedelic techno, Madchester revivalism, dance pop, chillwave and acid rave. Noel Gallagher recently claimed Howlin' to be more important than an Oasis reunion.
